Another favourite, despite the numerous failures when being hauled by one, the BRCW class 27. After the glory years on the Edinburgh to Glasgow push pulls they enjoyed a bit of a swansong on the Edinburgh to Dundee services as well as passenger and freight duties throughout the region.
