First of 5 shots of 08279 shunting VTG ferrywagons from the Haigs bottling plant to the nearby Markinch station. Here, 08279 draws out of the sidings at Haigs and on to the Auchmuty branch. The class 08's had only just replaced the Barclay class 06 shunters on this duty after the A92 road overbridge further down the branch had been altered to allow them to pass under. The Haigs plant shut in May 1983 with production transferred to Leven. January 1981
